Along with this, there has been a 300% increase in searches for “how to choose a baby name” this month in America. Mcluck ( https://tx.bz-mail-us1.com/1/l/4a453efef9c84274a284b472c2fed836?rl=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.mcluck.com%2F ) analysed which names appeared the most in the record books over the past 10 years, including the Oscars, American artist of the year, NBA and NFL MVP’s, the US Open champions and Forbes richest person winners.

Taylor was the clear winner for the luckiest girl baby names, with the name winning an award six times in the past decade, more than any other name on the list, from both genders. Resulting in a lucky score of 24. Taylor Swift has won six American Artist of the Year awards, making the name Taylor the luckiest girl name of 2026. 
 
Emma takes second place comfortably with two award winners sharing the name. Emma Stone, who has won two Oscars in the past two years, and Emma Raducanu, who has won a US Open. Emma is the only name in the top 10 that is shared by 2 winners, giving the name a lucky score of 14. 
 
Frances takes third place for the luckiest girl names as the name belongs to a double Oscar winner over the past decade, Frances McDormand, who won Best Actress in 2017 and 2020. The prestigious title, which was won twice, meant the name received a lucky score of 10.

Nikola tops the Luckiest boy names ranking, referring to the three-time NBA MVP Nikola Jokic. The prestigious title that was won by Nikola three times in the past decade meant that the name Nikola was among the most successful in his field. 
 
The second luckiest name in America is Carlos, which earns its spot from the successful young Tennis Player Carlos Alcaraz, who has already won the US Open twice in the last decade at just 23 years old. The name Carlos received a lucky score of eight due to the international recognition attached to the US Open.​
 
Rounding out the top three is Jeff, holding its position as the four-time winner of the “Forbes richest person” award, giving the name Jeff a lucky score of eight. Jeff was the most successful boy name in the entire list, winning four awards in his field.
 
Other notably lucky and successful names were Novak and Rafael, who also received a lucky score of eight. Referring to the US Open Champions Novak Djokovic and Rafael Nadal. The rest of the top 10 was made up of Aaron, Giannis, Lamar, Patrick and Shai. A combination of NFL and NBA MVP’s who have both won the trophy twice in the past 10 years.

1. The study aimed to rank the luckiest names over the past decade in America.  
2. To decipher this, data was collected from various awards, which were the Oscars, NBA MVP’s, NFL MVP’s, US Open Winners, Artist of the Year and Richest Person of the Year. 
3. Each award was weigh
