Как видно на фотографиях, второе по высоте сооружение в мире наконец достигло своей максимальной высоты. Шпиль на вершине башни Merdeka 118 в Куала-Лумпуре, Малайзия, был завершен в прошлом месяце, доведя общую высоту небоскреба до 2 227 футов (678,9 метра).
Это делает его более чем вдвое выше The Shard в Лондоне, высота которого составляет 1 017 футов (310 метров). 118-этажный гигант, открытие которого ожидается к концу следующего года, свергнул китайскую Шанхайскую башню высотой 2 073 фута (632 метра) с позиции второго по высоте сооружения в мире.
