Лионель Месси был объявлен победителем в номинации Лучший игрок мира 2021 (Награда «Король футбола») на церемонии Global Nubia Awards (GNAs) 2021, которая состоялась прошлой ночью. Популярная аргентинская футбольная звезда и бывший капитан «Барселоны» был избран болельщиками со всего мира победителем в этой специальной категории, призванной отметить и отпраздновать самого выдающегося и влиятельного футболиста года.
В список номинантов вошли несколько блестящих и выдающихся футбольных звёзд, включая Роберта Левандовски, Криштиану Роналду, Килиана Мбаппе, Неймара-младшего, Н'Голо Канте, Эрлинга Холанна и многих других.
Лео Месси получил голоса из 111 стран мира, причём голоса поступали из разных уголков планеты. Таким образом, официально: Лионель Месси — победитель и обладатель награды «Король футбола» 2021 года.
