Seperti yang terlihat di foto-foto, struktur tertinggi kedua di dunia akhirnya mencapai ketinggian maksimumnya. Puncak menara di bagian atas Merdeka 118 di Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, telah selesai dibangun bulan lalu, membawa total ketinggian pencakar langit ini menjadi 2.227 kaki (678,9 meter).
Ini menjadikannya lebih dari dua kali lipat ketinggian Shard di London, yang memiliki ketinggian 1.017 kaki (310 meter). Raksasa 118 lantai ini, yang diperkirakan akan dibuka pada akhir tahun depan, telah menyingkirkan Shanghai Tower milik China yang setinggi 2.073 kaki (632 meter) sebagai struktur tertinggi kedua di dunia.
