DJ Neptune Ft. Joeboy & Mr Eazi – Nobody
So here we’ve got one of the most brilliant piece of not the most brilliant piece of Afrobeats music released in 2020 so far. When the Emapwa music boss himself Mr Eazi collaborates with the Empawa prince Joeboy brought together by the one and only Dj Neptune you should expect a very sweet and meaningful Afrobeats songs but no one expected the song would be this perfect. Nobody is the biggest tune released in February.
Harmonize – Bed Room
All the way from Tanzania we have for you a top Afrobeats song coming from the Bongo star himself Harmonize. Bedroom is a song off his newly released album Afro East, many would agree its the best song on the album, he’s shot a music video for the song and it is getting a little a lot of streams on YouTube.
Sarkodie – Anadwo ft. King Promise
Ghanaian and African hip hop legend Sarkodie features the Ghanaian Afrobeats star King Promise on this new love song titled “Anadwo” off his newly released album Black Love. They shot the official visuals to this song not long after the audio release. I think this a great love song, you should check it out if you are a love song head.
Nasty C – There They Go
When it comes to African rap Nasty C is what we present you would call the face of African hip-hop right, making several collaborations with many international rappers. Nasty C after some break drops one of the top songs on his coming album Zulu Man With Some power. This is a good rap song give or take.
Burna Boy – Odogwu
The self proclaimed African giant Burna released his 2020 debut which he tagged Odogwu. A song inspired by the language and traditions of the South Eastern Nigerians. The Igbo people, personally in think this song is a flop and it is weak coming from Burna Boy as a single. But he is the toast of the city afterall so any song he drops no matter how bad will get a lot of streams so he makes the list.
Naira Marley – Aye
So here is a brand new release from the King of Lamba himself, sorry the lord of Lamba like he calls himself. Naira Marley have not relaxed since the summer of last year when it comes to dropping hits. He releases new music almost every month. This new one called “Aye” is calm blues song from Naira Marley but I must say it’s not that good and his vocals are not great on the beat.
Cassper Nyovest – Good For That
It is no news that South African hip hop is leading in Africa, they have the most healthy hip hop music industry on the continent. So of course a release from one of the biggest artist in South Africa drops a new single coupled with a crisp ass visuals it will definitely get a lot of attention. Looking at the stats this song is doing great.
Zlatan Ft. Obesere – Egungun
Nigerian fuji legend made a dramatic comeback this year after his 20 years old hit came back and became the social media anthem for a while. So he decides to remix the song with current Zanku king Zlatan. There have been mixed reviews since the release many expressing their disappointment but it was still one of the most streamed
Oxlade – Away
This maybe be Oxlade’s first major hit single with no collabo. This one came off the newly released EP from the alternative pop singer. Away has been well received and praised by critics and the song in particular is gannering more streams and downloads than the rest of the songs on this new EP.
Falz Ft. Mz Banks – Bop Daddy
Falz have always been a phenomenal hit maker, he does different kinds of music every time and many of them turn to hits. This time he puts his witts in to a new joint where he features UK based Afrobeats rapper Ms Banks. The song is growing steadily and will surely be a huge hit in a couple weeks time.
